If you like a good old fashioned debate, click over to the “Bill Nye Debates Ken Ham” stream on youtube.  One thing I have learned so far is that both Christians and Evolutionist love the MacBook Pro!

I have been serving in youth ministry for nearly 20 years, am currently the Director of Student Ministries at Valley Church in Des Moines, IA, and am on a first name basis with several Best Buy and Apple employees. My wife Keri and I have been married over ten years and have three great boys. My four favorite things are Jesus, my wife, Chicago Style Pizza, and fighting off our boys with sweet ninja moves.

One response to LIVE NOW: Bill Nye Debates Ken Ham [UPDATED]

  1. I’m glad it wasn’t me in that debate, for starters. I applaud both men.

As far as what was said goes, I felt that neither was compelling and neither answered the questions that were delivered to them by their opponent well. My sense was that there was a lot of redirection. This disappointed me. I did expect more engagement by Ken Ham on the assumptions and evidences brought forward by Bill Nye. Also, I realize that if we do not embrace faith and the miraculous in our worldview, we ignore the fact that the unexplained exists. Both sides have a ton of explaining to do. Don’t expect the Bible to go into detail on those things. It is not a science book. Please don’t treat it like one. But realize that there is truth. And what we can know is crucial. Jesus is the logos – perfect wisdom, knowledge and truth through whom the world was made and is held together, and was present as an eyewitness and participant at creation, observing and expressing Himself and His desires through the canvas of this universe to bring order out of chaos.

Neither group can post a true win from this debate. I doubt I would have done any better.
