iPhone and Android Ministry Idea…Review

 —  May 5, 2012 — 2 Comments

I posted this a couple days ago with no description, it is a QR Code. They are free to make and free to use. If you have a smart phone and want to use QR Codes you need an app like; QR Reader, QR Droid, or ShopSavvy (Both Android and iOS).

Download a scanning app, scan this code and tell me what you think!

I have been serving in youth ministry for nearly 20 years, am currently the Director of Student Ministries at Valley Church in Des Moines, IA, and am on a first name basis with several Best Buy and Apple employees. My wife Keri and I have been married over ten years and have three great boys. My four favorite things are Jesus, my wife, Chicago Style Pizza, and fighting off our boys with sweet ninja moves.

  1. Love QR codes, planning to incorporate them into T-shirt designs for my youth ministry and have them point to our facebook page.
Also use them for cool scavenger hunts, get permission from local places of business etc. to hang on a bulletin board or somewhere clever and each one has a clue leading to the next one.
    Fun post thanks man!

  2. Love the idea for using on shirts and scavenger hunts. Probably going to steal both ideas. We do loop slide announcements on our big screen and at our StuMin kiosk. Thinking of doing QR code announcements on a weekly basis…might get bogged down a little bit.
